About The Position

The Associate - Operations-Leadership program is a full-time, entry-level role with a twelve-month training program designed to prepare participants for operational leadership positions at RRD manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. The program provides comprehensive training across manufacturing facility functions, RRD solutions, and manufacturing processes. It follows a cohort class model with specified start dates. For the Smyrna, Tennessee location, available start dates are February 2027 and July 2027.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, IT, marketing, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel.
• Motivation to succeed.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of basic business practices.
• High energy level, excellent customer service skills, and a strong work ethic.
• Self-confidence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship in a manufacturing company or environment.
• Knowledge of the printing process.

Responsibilities

• Complete production rotations and learn the six core plant business functions: manufacturing, logistics, operations, administration, human resources, and finance.
• Shadow position-specific roles and perform those roles for a period of time to complete each rotation.
• Assist Plant Leaders with the facility’s everyday functions as learning opportunities arise.
• Attend internal and external plant meetings.
• Read publications about the print and manufacturing industries to increase understanding of the field.
