About The Position
The Associate - Operations-Leadership program is a full-time, entry-level role offering a twelve-month training program to prepare participants for operational leadership positions at RRD manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. The program provides comprehensive training across the manufacturing facility, including RRD solutions and manufacturing processes. The cohort-based program has specific start dates; for Smyrna, Tennessee, the listed start dates are February 2027 and July 2027.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, IT, marketing, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel.
- Motivation to succeed.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of basic business practices.
- High energy level, excellent customer service skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Self-confidence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior internship in a manufacturing company or environment.
- Knowledge of the printing process.
Responsibilities
- Complete production rotations and learn the six core plant business functions: manufacturing, logistics, operations, administration, human resources, and finance.
- Shadow position-specific roles and then perform those roles for a period of time as part of each rotation.
- Assist Plant Leaders with the everyday functions of the facility as learning opportunities arise.
- Attend internal and external plant meetings.
- Read publications about the print and manufacturing industries to increase understanding of the field.
