About The Position

A Haven is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing grief support services to children and families in Chester County and the surrounding area. The part-time Operations and Communications Manager helps keep the organization running smoothly and its mission visible in the community. The role supports the Executive Director and leadership team by managing daily operations, donor care administration, and mission-aligned communications. The position is based in Exton, Pennsylvania, with hybrid flexibility and some remote work possible. It is 15 hours per week, with compensation of $30 to $35 per hour, based on experience. A Haven partners with grieving families through support, community outreach, education, and hope. Its family-centered approach equips parents and guardians to guide children through grief while offering a safe place for children, teens, and young adults to know they are not alone.

Requirements

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with Canva.
Strong writing and storytelling abilities.
Comfort with donor database entry and basic reporting.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Experience in operations, HR logistics, donor database administration, or nonprofit administration.
Experience creating content and graphics.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily operations and maintain organizational systems.
Manage and update the Yearly Snapshot Calendar.
Support employee onboarding logistics and compliance documentation.
Generate donor tax receipts and prepare donor thank-you notes.
Maintain donor records and assist with donor care communications.
Create and schedule social media content and newsletters, and make basic website updates.
Design graphics and materials using Canva.
Support event logistics and donor tours.
Assist with community outreach and fundraising campaign communications.
