This role requires the ability to multitask efficiently and accurately to maintain stock levels. Cooks must be able to read and understand English menus, including basic measurements and equivalents, and possess conversational English skills. They are expected to visually inspect food, discard any items that do not meet standards, and inform management of discarded items. Maintaining a clean work area, including walk-ins and reach-ins, is also a key responsibility. A thorough knowledge of food items and recipes is necessary for preparation.
