About The Position

Lewis Apartment Communities, a division of Lewis Group of Companies, is hiring an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for Sycamore Park, a 108-rental-home community in Ontario, California. This live-on-site role is suited to a proactive team leader with a strong supervisory background and broad experience in residential maintenance. The position oversees maintenance and grounds staff, supports the upkeep and readiness of homes and community facilities, coordinates with community management and outside vendors, and handles administrative reporting and expense management. Scheduled days off are Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

Prior staff supervision experience.
Strong general residential maintenance skills in the apartment or residential industry.
Experience in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and appliance installation and repair.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Ability to move and transport heavy objects as needed; bend, stoop, and walk repeatedly; and ascend and descend stairs and ladders as required.
Ability to communicate in English by speaking, reading, and writing with company employees and the general public.

Nice To Haves

Construction, renovation, or lease-up experience.
HVAC certification.

Responsibilities

Manage maintenance and grounds staff.
Perform and oversee general apartment and residential maintenance, including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and appliance installation and repair.
Prepare units for new occupancy and maintain units occupied by current residents.
Walk the property with community managers and interact with the community manager and staff.
Manage and negotiate with outside vendors.
Handle administrative reporting and expense management.
Maintain the leasing office and recreation facilities.
