Online Learning Coordinator

Stillman College•Tuscaloosa, AL

About The Position

Stillman College seeks an Online Learning Coordinator to advance the quality, reach, and effectiveness of its online and hybrid academic offerings. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, the coordinator works within the Division of Academic Affairs under the leadership of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. The role establishes standards for online course quality, prepares faculty to teach online and hybrid courses, coordinates Canvas and online student support, and monitors course outcomes to guide continuous improvement. The initial priority is partnering with faculty to redesign Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses for online and hybrid delivery, creating a model for future course redesign across the College. The position is full-time. During peak periods—including semester starts, faculty preparation sessions, course launches, Canvas transitions, and scheduled course quality reviews—the coordinator may need to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible. During scheduled work hours, the employee must devote full time and attention to the position. Outside employment must not interfere with work or required availability, create a conflict of interest, or take place during scheduled working hours, and must be disclosed under College policy. The position requires flexibility, initiative, sound judgment, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple assignments in support of institutional priorities. Responsibilities may be adjusted to meet the College’s evolving needs. Final candidates must pass a pre-employment background investigation, including review of social media and other internet sources; a prior conviction does not automatically disqualify a candidate, and any previous conviction or negative behavioral red flags will receive individualized review. Applications are reviewed immediately and accepted until the position is filled. Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume or curriculum vitae, and at least three professional references through the College website. Stillman College is an equal opportunity employer.
