One-to-One School Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-to-one nursing support for a student in a school setting in Burlington, New Jersey. The nurse will support the student's medical needs throughout the school day, during transportation, and at school-sponsored instructional activities in accordance with physician orders, the student's Individualized Healthcare Plan (IHP), and applicable supervision requirements. This is a contract position scheduled Monday through Friday for the full instructional day plus transportation, following the school calendar. Compensation is $35 per hour.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New Jersey.
- Ability to provide individualized nursing care, follow physician orders, and respond to medical emergencies within the LPN scope of practice.
- Maintain required credentials and comply with school policies, confidentiality, and applicable supervision requirements.

- Relevant pediatric or school nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous one-to-one nursing support and monitor and report changes in the student's condition according to physician orders and the IHP.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments within the LPN scope of practice and follow emergency response protocols.
- Accompany the student to and from school and during assigned school-sponsored instructional activities.
- Maintain accurate daily nursing records and submit required reports on time.
- Communicate with supervising clinical personnel, school staff, parents/guardians, and medical providers; attend health-related meetings as requested.
- Follow school policies and protect student information under FERPA and HIPAA, where applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
