About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-to-one nursing care for a student in a school setting in Burlington, New Jersey. The nurse will support the student's medical needs throughout the school day, during transportation, and at school-sponsored instructional activities in accordance with physician orders and the student's Individualized Healthcare Plan (IHP).

The position is a contract role scheduled Monday through Friday for the full instructional day plus transportation, following the school calendar. Compensation is $45 per hour.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
• Ability to provide individualized nursing care, follow physician orders, and respond to medical emergencies.
• Maintain required credentials and comply with school policies and confidentiality requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant pediatric or school nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous one-to-one nursing care and monitor the student's condition according to physician orders and the IHP.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments within the RN scope of practice and respond to medical emergencies.
• Accompany the student to and from school and during assigned school-sponsored instructional activities.
• Maintain accurate daily nursing records and submit required reports on time.
• Coordinate care with school personnel, parents/guardians, and medical providers; attend health-related meetings as requested.
• Follow school policies and emergency protocols and protect student information under FERPA and HIPAA, where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
