About The Position

The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for ensuring all safety policies and expectations are met by new hires. This role manages the overall experience of new hires from day 1 to 60 days or until they become qualified. The specialist will administer, track, and evaluate all new hire floor training, including hours of training per week, qualification status, attendance, turnover, fostering new hire/supervisor relationships, and weekly meetings. They will provide hands-on training during the training period and make recommendations to management and/or Human Resources regarding training needs, concerns, and continued employment. The role involves developing and promoting positive working relationships with new hires, peers, leaders, and clients, and meeting with supervisors, Human Resources, and coordinators to review production processes and product specifications. Key performance indicators include 30 and 60-day retention and JSA completions for all new hires. The specialist must instill all company values, provide hands-on training in the production environment, ensure new hires are not moved prior to 42 days, complete all training documents, ensure trainees are qualified timely, conduct weekly meetings with new hires and supervisors, follow up with the superintendent and training supervisor on any new hire issues, and focus all attention and resources on new hires and their successful onboarding. Other duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous training experience preferred
  • Associates Degree or two years of college coursework in Communications, HR, or similar field preferred but not required
  • Experience in lieu of degree will be considered

Responsibilities
