About The Position

Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Per Diem On-Call Registered Nurse to provide care and support to hospice patients and their families during critical moments. The RN identifies patient and family needs, coordinates care, and offers preventive measures and compassionate support. The position serves Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana counties and is scheduled after hours and on weekends.

Requirements

• Hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Have at least one year of RN experience in a medical-surgical or acute-care setting.
• Be proficient with computers, typing, and various software programs, including electronic medical records (EMR).
• Maintain current CPR certification if required by the state.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Hospice experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to urgent and routine patient needs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patients’ homes and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
• Educate, guide, and support families in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.
