About The Position

The On Call Concierge supports guests at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in San Antonio, a welcoming home away from home for cancer patients and caregivers traveling for treatment. The concierge provides customer service, helps coordinate guest needs and services, and contributes to a safe, organized front desk environment.

This is a part-time, on-call position. Shifts are offered based on business needs and may include day, evening, overnight, weekday, and weekend hours. The base pay rate is $19.50 per hour, with shift differentials for certain hours. The role requires minimal travel and may involve extended standing and walking, occasional lifting and moving of luggage or packages, and other tasks assisting guests.

The target start date is November 30, 2026, pending completion of the hiring process and pre-employment requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Additional education or training in hospitality management or customer service.
• Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage check-in and check-out procedures.
• Provide information about lodge amenities and community resources.
• Coordinate transportation and EMPOWER Program services and schedules.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies.
• Maintain an organized front desk area and accurate guest records.
• Monitor lobby security and implement safety protocols.
