About The Position

The Omni Care Internship is a hands-on summer training opportunity to learn various aspects of the hotel business. The intern serves as a utility player, rotating among departments and entry-level service positions according to business needs. Rotations may include front office, housekeeping, food and beverage outlets or events, and pool or recreation, with additional departments or roles possible. Interns attend training and enrichment seminars during the summer. Based on performance, the internship is expected to result in acceptance into Omni’s Leader in Development (LID) program at the end of the summer season.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on different projects.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Ability to walk, sit, stand, squat, and lean for extended periods during daily business.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a customer service position is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work flexibly in various entry-level service positions throughout the property.
• Rotate among front office, housekeeping, food and beverage outlets or events, and pool or recreation; take on additional departments or roles as business needs require.
• Attend to and anticipate guests’ needs.
• Adapt to changing schedules and demonstrate flexibility.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Attend Omni Care Internship training and enrichment seminars during the summer season.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Leader.
