About The Position

The Older Toddler Teacher works with children ages 2–3 in a childcare or daycare center, providing a safe, healthy, nurturing learning environment and supporting each child’s social and emotional development. The teacher establishes positive relationships with families and works collaboratively with a co-teacher and the wider faculty. Teachers plan activities based on children’s interests, help develop an engaging curriculum, and communicate with parents about children’s experiences and achievements, including through mobile apps and personal discussions. The role offers support from directors, including planning or resource time, and opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
Ability to address stressful situations calmly and professionally while multitasking to support smooth school operations.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when handling children to facilitate programs, support child safety, and respond to potential emergencies.
Must meet background check eligibility.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of previous experience preferred.
