About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking an Office Manager to own the day-to-day experience of their office, ensuring it runs smoothly, consistently, and with a high bar for employee experience. This role is responsible for everything from the look and function of the space to the small details that make a workplace feel cared for. The Office Manager will be the go-to person for ensuring things work, fixing issues, or escalating them clearly. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where the individual is expected to be proactive in identifying and solving problems. The role involves managing vendor relationships, implementing workplace standards, managing the office's operational budget, and serving as the first point of escalation for workplace issues. The goal is to create an office environment where employees trust that the space is well-maintained and well-managed, and where problems are resolved quickly and transparently.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day experience of the Fluidstack office.
  • Ensure the office space looks and functions well.
  • Address and resolve workplace issues, or escalate them clearly.
  • Manage vendor relationships for the office, including cleaning, catering, maintenance, and supplies.
  • Implement shared workplace standards, adapted for the specific location.
  • Run a feedback loop with employees to understand what is working and what is not.
  • Manage the office's operational budget with clear tracking.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for workplace issues.
  • Establish a clear operating rhythm, including weekly vendor check-ins, monthly budget reviews, and quarterly planning.
  • Proactively surface issues and propose solutions.
