Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service and handling multiple projects.
  • Minimum of 2-years previous experience working with cash, retail, accounting, transportation and/or customer focus field preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently and with others and be part of a team.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication, organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, supportive and adaptive to changes in direction, priorities and job duties.
  • Computer experience, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and the ability to learn in house systems.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Flexible to work off hours, weekends, holidays in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work standing or walking for up to 10 hours per day.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in non-ferrous material grading preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Calculates payment amount, prepares and issues payment to commercial customers, ACH customers and third party freight reconciliation.
  • Quote metal prices within a range supplied by management and/or verify correct pricing.
  • Assist with month-end closing documents and regular auditing of position related forms.
  • Willing to cross-train in other positions and assists other employees as needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Business Manager.
  • Perform general office administration duties to include answering phones, processing paperwork, preparing and sending UPS packages, ordering supplies and other similar duties.
