About The Position

This position is based on-site at our Juneau Headquarters, located in the State Office Building in downtown Juneau, Alaska. At the Division of Investments, we don’t just process loans, we help Alaskans start businesses, commercial charter fisheries, mariculture businesses & so much more. As an Office Assistant 2, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the Division’s workflow efficient, accurate, and compliant with state procedures, helping our team deliver lending services that strengthen Alaska’s economic future. Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs.
  • Possess a regular driver's license and be 18 years of age or older (if required by position).
  • Skill in typing (if required by position).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic accounting tasks and inventory tracking.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls while providing courteous, accurate information to the public and internal staff.
  • Scan, file, and maintain loan documents, correspondence, and records in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Ensure documents are properly labeled, organized, and stored in accordance with Division retention policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external visitors, prospective, past and present borrowers, board members.
