About The Position

This position provides administrative/clerical assistance to the Anchorage Workers’ Compensation office. Responsibilities include opening and distributing the mail, answering the main phone line, distributing documents in our electronic file system, maintaining office supplies, looking up case information to assist with administrative support to attorneys, medical providers, hearing officers and other professionals. The Division of Workers’ Compensation is the agency charged with administering the Alaska Workers’ Compensation Act fairly and impartially to ensure the quick, efficient and predictable delivery of medical and indemnity benefits to injured workers at a reasonable cost to employers and insurance carriers. This position provides mission-critical clerical support to the Division.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs.
  • Alaska Residency Requirements must be met.
  • Legal right to accept employment in the United States.
