About The Position
PAM Health Wiregrass Ranch is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) for its new rehabilitation hospital. The role provides care to a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who may require extended hospital care. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, or candidates should have a desire and commitment to learn. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care and plans and implements treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health system. The assistant must be flexible to meet the system’s needs across different facilities and perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Hold current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
