About The Position
PAM Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to provide care for a diverse patient population at its Texarkana LTACH. The role focuses on chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The ideal candidate has inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care and plans and implements individualized treatment programs according to occupational therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health system. The assistant must be flexible to meet the system’s needs across different facilities and performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as an OTA in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
