About The Position

PAM Health is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) for its new rehabilitation hospital in Dallas. The assistant provides direct patient care and plans and implements individualized treatment programs according to occupational therapy principles and practices, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The role serves a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care, and requires flexibility to meet the needs of the PAM Health system across different facilities. Other related duties may be assigned or requested. Prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learn is welcomed.

Requirements

• Current license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
• Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience is preferred.
• Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
• Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
