About The Position
PAM Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to provide care to a diverse patient population. The role serves chronically and critically ill patients who may require extended hospital care. Prior inpatient hospital experience is preferred, though candidates with a commitment and desire to learn are also encouraged. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the OTA provides direct patient care and plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with occupational therapy principles and practices. The assistant must be flexible to meet system needs across different facilities and performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Licensed as an OTA in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Remain flexible to meet system needs across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
