About The Position
PAM Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to provide care to a diverse patient population. The role serves chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care and plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with occupational therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health system. The assistant must be flexible to meet system needs across different facilities and performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Licensed as an OTA in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
