About The Position

Powerback Rehabilitation provides recovery, rehabilitation, respiratory, and wellness services in settings across the nation. The Occupational Therapy Assistant works in a facility and reports to the Director of Rehab. The role implements occupational therapy programs and activities, follows developed recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments to help patients restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence. The assistant provides individualized, patient-centered care in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, works collaboratively with peers, and makes referrals when patients need additional care. The posted salary range is USD $33.00–$38.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA and ACOTE standards.
• Obtain initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
• Follow developed patient recovery plans.
• Deliver therapy treatments.
• Help patients restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence.
• Provide patient-centered, compassionate service to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals to support patients’ care needs.
