About The Position

Powerback seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in a facility. The role implements occupational therapy programs and activities, follows established recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence. The assistant adapts to individual patient needs, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when needed to help patients receive appropriate care. The position emphasizes compassionate, high-quality service to patients and their families.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA and ACOTE standards.
Obtain initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
Follow developed patient recovery plans.
Deliver therapy treatments.
Help restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
Adapt care to individual patient needs.
Collaborate with peers and make referrals to support patients’ care.
