About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for its outpatient pediatric clinic in Spring Lake, North Carolina. The role supports children in building skills for growth, participation, and success in daily activities. The COTA works alongside experienced pediatric clinicians in a supportive, team-oriented clinic environment, implementing individualized treatment plans developed by an Occupational Therapist and helping provide quality care to children and families. Mentorship is available. The position may be full-time or part-time, with pay of $28–$35 per hour based on experience. Comprehensive benefits are available to full-time employees.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in an Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited school.
Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Current state licensure, or eligibility for licensure, to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting, such as a hospital, clinic, or school; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist with delivering individualized therapy based on treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist, including activities that improve daily living skills such as dressing, eating, and mobility.
Track and document patient progress, maintain accurate records in compliance with facility policies, and report changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including PT, OT, and nursing, to provide holistic care.
Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies for independence.
Lead or assist patients with exercises, activities of daily living, and other therapeutic tasks, while fostering a positive and supportive environment that encourages engagement.
