About The Position

Powerback is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered rehabilitation in an in-facility setting. The role implements occupational therapy programs and activities, follows established recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments. The assistant works to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence, adapting care to individual needs and collaborating with peers or making referrals to support patient care. The position reports to the Director of Rehab.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA and ACOTE standards.
• Obtain initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
• Follow developed recovery plans and deliver therapy treatments.
• Help restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
• Provide individualized, patient-first care in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive needed care.
