About The Position
Amedisys is hiring a full-time, day-shift Occupational Therapist to provide home health care. The therapist is responsible for occupational therapy services delivered under a physician-approved plan of care, ensuring assessed problems are addressed or documenting why they are not, and maintaining the safety and effectiveness of service delivery. The role also includes timely, accurate documentation and supervision of the home health aide when an RN is not active in the case. The listed annual pay range is $82,680 to $101,400, and the position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Benefit eligibility may vary by position and shift status.
Requirements
- Hold a current license to practice occupational therapy in the state assigned.
- Graduate from an occupational therapy program accredited by ACOTE of AOTA or successor organizations.
- Be eligible to take, or have successfully completed, the entry-level occupational therapist certification examination administered by NBCOT.
- Have one year of related occupational therapy experience; applicants with less than one year require approval from regional clinical leaders and appropriate mentoring and/or an established residency program.
- Hold current CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery under a physician-approved plan of care.
- Ensure the plan of care addresses problems identified in the assessment, or document the rationale when identified problems are not addressed.
- Be accountable for the safety and effectiveness of the occupational therapy service delivery process.
- Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Supervise the home health aide when an RN is not active in the case.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
