About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered home health care in Ronceverte, West Virginia, covering the Ronceverte area. The position is full-time and offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus to external candidates only. The role involves evaluating and treating patients in their homes, helping them achieve greater independence and function, and coordinating care with the treatment team, physicians, patients, and families. Occupational Therapists also supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with the state practice act.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current occupational therapist licensure in the state.
• American Heart Association CPR certification; certification may be offered and completed upon hire.
• Two years of experience in adult occupational therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Physical therapy skills as specified by the competency checklist.

• Home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations and treatment based on physician orders, including recommending and procuring adaptive equipment.
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to help patients reach their maximum level of independence and function.
• Maintain communication with the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services to ensure proper billing.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
