About The Position

A healthcare organization in King City, California is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide evaluation and treatment services in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. This role focuses on improving patient independence and functional outcomes through individualized therapy programs, evidence-based interventions, and adaptive techniques. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation professionals while maintaining compliance with the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
  • Current California Occupational Therapist license required
  • Less than 1 year of experience required

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients referred by physicians in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using therapeutic interventions and assistive devices
  • Implement therapy programs to improve activities of daily living and functional independence
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical outcomes
  • Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and established care plans
  • Utilize adaptive equipment and therapeutic procedures to support patient mobility and recovery
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Adhere to all applicable California Occupational Therapy Practice Act requirements
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation team members
  • Communicate patient progress, goals, and discharge recommendations effectively
  • Support coordinated care planning and continuity of services
