About The Position

A leading acute care medical center in Chico, California is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join its Diagnostic Imaging team. This role involves performing advanced computed tomography (CT) and general radiographic imaging procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care, safety, and image quality. The CT Technologist will operate imaging equipment, administer contrast media, perform IV injections, and prepare patients and equipment for diagnostic studies in accordance with departmental protocols and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required
• Current CPR certification required
• ARRT certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Fluoroscopy permit required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of diagnostic X-ray experience preferred
• ARRT Advanced CT Certification
• Contrast media and venipuncture certification
• California fluoroscopy permit

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely and effectively
• Prepare patients, imaging rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications
• Administer contrast media and perform IV contrast injections
• Ensure high-quality imaging results and adherence to imaging protocols
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and communication throughout procedures
• Perform quality control and comply with imaging standards and regulations
• Follow ARRT standards of ethics and departmental policies
• Support radiology department goals and service excellence initiatives
