About The Position

A leading community healthcare organization in northwestern Colorado is seeking an experienced MRI / CT Technologist to join its Diagnostic Imaging team. This dual-modality role is responsible for performing high-quality MRI and CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient-centered care. The technologist will support multiple imaging modalities, contribute to workflow efficiency, maintain imaging quality standards, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Current ARRT certifications required in: Radiography (R), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Current BLS certification required (or obtainable within 90 days of hire)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist, or MRI Technologist

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-modality imaging experience preferred
  • Cross-training in additional imaging modalities preferred
  • Experience with PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems preferred
  • Two or more years of MRI/CT experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI and CT imaging procedures according to established protocols
  • Verify patient identity and ensure patient safety prior to procedures
  • Explain imaging procedures and provide clear patient education
  • Obtain and document relevant patient medical history
  • Maintain patient comfort and deliver compassionate care throughout imaging exams
  • Adhere to MRI safety standards and radiation safety protocols
  • Operate MRI and CT imaging equipment according to departmental and manufacturer guidelines
  • Perform routine quality control procedures and equipment checks
  • Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and coordinate service support as needed
  • Maintain accurate imaging documentation within PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems
  • Follow ALARA principles and departmental safety standards
  • Accurately document imaging procedures, supplies, and patient charges
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Participate in quality assurance, audits, and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with patient transport, scheduling support, and departmental workflow as needed
  • Cross-train in additional imaging modalities including DEXA and Mammography
  • Support onboarding and mentoring of imaging staff
  • Participate in call rotation and scheduling flexibility requirements
  • Assist with inventory management and department logistics
