About The Position

A leading regional healthcare facility in northwest Colorado is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist / CT Technologist to join its Diagnostic Imaging department. This dual-modality role is responsible for performing high-quality radiographic and CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient care. The technologist will support workflow across multiple imaging modalities, maintain imaging equipment, and adhere to ALARA radiation safety standards in a collaborative hospital environment.

Requirements

  • Must hold or be eligible for at least two ARRT registries, including: ARRT Radiography (R) and ARRT Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Current BLS certification required (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • State licensure required where applicable
  • Prior imaging technologist experience preferred
  • Cross-training in multiple imaging modalities strongly encouraged
  • Entry-level candidates with clinical training may be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Additional modality certifications preferred (MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Ensure proper patient identification, education, preparation, and safety prior to imaging exams
  • Obtain and review relevant patient history for imaging procedures
  • Verify imaging orders and ensure accurate documentation
  • Communicate urgent or STAT findings to radiologists and care teams as appropriate
  • Follow ALARA radiation safety principles at all times
  • Perform quality control procedures according to manufacturer and departmental standards
  • Conduct pregnancy screening when appropriate
  • Ensure adherence to imaging protocols and safe equipment operation
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service support when needed
  • Document downtime events and communicate equipment concerns to leadership
  • Maintain imaging supplies and inventory levels
  • Operate imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records within PACS, RIS, and electronic health record systems
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed prior to radiologist interpretation
  • Adhere to hospital, state, and federal regulatory standards
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Assist with patient transport and departmental support activities as needed
  • Cross-train and assist in additional imaging modalities when applicable
  • Participate in rotating call, weekend, and holiday coverage
  • Support onboarding and training of imaging team members
