About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a CT/MRI Technologist to join their team. This facility is a joint venture between Tenet Healthcare, USPI, and Baylor Scott & White network, located in Fort Worth, Texas. Serving the community since 2014, it is a 30-bed acute care surgical hospital with an Emergency Department, inpatient unit, intensive care unit, and advanced diagnostic imaging facilities. The hospital boasts 14 state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with advanced surgical systems and offers a wide range of specializations including ENT, Bariatric, Pulmonary, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Spine, and Craniotomy. The hospital emphasizes a quality-centric and patient-oriented approach to all procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(CT) Certificate
  • Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License
  • Current BLS certification
  • Two to five years’ experience specific to CT
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate with radiologists to establish requirements of nonstandard examinations and determine appropriate technical factors.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients
  • Demonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.
  • Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment/service and to provide education information to patients/families in age group served
  • Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth Outpatient Center.
  • Operates CT and x-ray equipment, prepares exam room, equipment, supplies and medications.
  • Provides excellent patient care.
  • Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
  • The Radiologic technologist operates CT and X-ray equipment, prepares exam room, equipment, supplies and medications.
  • Provides excellent patient care in their assigned area.
  • Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.
  • Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.
  • Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
  • Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination: documents and deviation
  • Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures
  • Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Radiology Leadership
  • Takes emergency call as assigned
