About The Position

A respected healthcare organization in King City, California is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Occupational Therapy to lead and manage its Occupational Therapy Department. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with operational oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services across inpatient and outpatient settings. The Director will oversee Occupational Therapists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Rehabilitation Technicians while ensuring compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and documentation standards. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Current or eligible California Occupational Therapy license
  • Leadership or supervisory experience within rehabilitation services
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation, compliance standards, and rehabilitation program management
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Occupational Therapy Department
  • Supervise Occupational Therapists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Rehabilitation Technicians
  • Coordinate staff education, onboarding, training, and competency evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards
  • Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and clinical best practices
  • Support rehabilitation program development and departmental growth initiatives
  • Perform patient evaluations, treatment planning, discharge planning, and clinical documentation as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, case management, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Promote quality improvement initiatives and exceptional patient care outcomes
  • Monitor departmental productivity, workflow efficiency, and performance standards
