About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in an acute care setting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with diverse patient populations. You will be working in a 412-bed inpatient hospital recognized for its expertise in various specialties, including Stroke Care, Elective Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA), Elective Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA), and STEMI Receiving Center for Cardiac Care. The facility encompasses several specialized units, including Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Unit, Orthopedic and Spine Unit, Medical-Surgical Unit, and Telemetry Units.

Requirements

• A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Strong clinical skills and experience in an acute care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of 9-10 patients in an acute care setting.
• Providing comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and documentation.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitating patient progress towards functional independence and recovery.
• Participating in educational activities and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
