About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist for a skilled nursing facility in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. The position provides coverage as needed, with an opportunity for more consistent work during a maternity leave toward the end of the year. Weekend availability is sought. The therapist will work with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and treat patients, support their functional abilities, and help them and their families with daily activities and adaptive strategies. Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Weekend availability is sought.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
