About The Position
A respected Skilled Nursing Facility in San Jose, California, is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services as part of a collaborative therapy department. The position is described as a direct hire/permanent placement and is open to new graduates as well as experienced occupational therapists. The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, develops individualized treatment plans, delivers therapeutic interventions to improve function and independence, documents progress, and adjusts treatment plans as needed. The role also involves educating patients, families, and caregivers, collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team, and supervising and guiding COTAs. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday. The estimated rate is approximately $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience, setting, and location.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current California license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for improving patients’ quality of life.
