About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to work at a long-term care facility in Des Moines, near Seattle. The role involves assessing patients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities; developing individualized treatment plans; and helping patients improve functional abilities and daily activities. The therapist educates patients and families about adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, documents evaluations and progress, and advocates for patients’ needs and access to resources. The position offers flexible schedules and part-time benefits. Compensation is $60–$65 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance functional abilities.
Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients’ needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
