About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN, per diem Occupational Therapist for a senior living facility in Southlake, Texas. The role involves assessing clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities; developing individualized treatment plans; and helping clients improve their functional abilities and daily activities. The therapist also educates clients and families about adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, documents evaluations and progress, and advocates for clients’ needs and access to community resources and services. Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
- Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance functional abilities.
- Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including through adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and support their access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
