About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work at a well-established nonprofit Life Plan Community in Bakersfield, California. The role provides therapy across short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and outpatient services in a supportive, resident-focused environment. The community has 210 beds and an 11-acre campus with gardens and walking paths. The posting offers full-time, part-time, or PRN scheduling options and lists a full-time pay range of $60–$73 per hour, based on experience. A $5,000 sign-on or relocation bonus is offered. Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Create individualized treatment plans to meet client goals and improve functional abilities.
Educate clients and families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
