Occupational Therapist - OT
About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and driven Occupational Therapist to work across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation teams in Irving, Texas. The role provides comprehensive services across the continuum of care and is suited to clinicians who enjoy fast-paced environments, critical thinking, and daily collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday. Compensation depends on the candidate’s years of experience and internal equity; the salary range is $75,920.00–$103,105.60.
Requirements
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist, as stated in the posting.
- Certified BLS, or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
- At least one year of acute care experience.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry, and specialty units.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate on discharge planning to support safe and appropriate patient transitions.
- Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Provide patient and family education related to mobility, safe transfers, and home exercise programs, as appropriate.
- Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within the team.
