About The Position

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa, opening February 2025, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their team. The role involves working in a new hospital with advanced technology, private patient rooms, and therapy gyms. The Occupational Therapist will independently evaluate patients, determine treatment strategies, and deliver services to maximize function in daily living, leisure, and productivity. This includes addressing psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components, and implementing interventions to enhance safety and performance in various activities.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work.
• Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components.
• Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.
