About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide services as needed at a skilled nursing facility in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Weekend availability is sought. The therapist may also provide more consistent coverage as needed during a maternity leave toward the end of the year. The role works with a multidisciplinary team and focuses on assessing patients, developing individualized treatment plans, supporting functional abilities, educating patients and families, and maintaining clinical documentation. The pay range is $53–$57 per hour.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
- Weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities through observation and standardized tools.
- Create individualized treatment plans to address clients’ goals and enhance functional abilities.
- Educate clients and families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
