About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services within the rehabilitation department. The role serves the entire facility, including a 28-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) and a 383-bed acute care hospital with an average census of 240. The Occupational Therapy staff includes 15 therapists across full-time, part-time, and PRN positions. The department has two therapy gyms and an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) apartment and uses Meditech for electronic medical records.

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients, plans for discharge, participates in team conferences and family training sessions, and uses adaptive devices and equipment to support patient recovery. The role requires flexibility, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and dedication to patient outcomes.

The position is located in Bradenton, Florida, and follows a full-time Monday-through-Friday schedule, with availability for weekend shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapy license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Weekend availability and flexibility to work on the IRF unit.
• Strong critical-thinking and clinical-reasoning skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hospital or IRF setting.
• Background in stroke and neurological rehabilitation.
