About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics is hiring a school-based Occupational Therapist in Auburn, New York, to support elementary, middle school, and high school students. The role is offered full-time or part-time, with an hourly rate of $50–$60 and W-2 employment. The therapist will evaluate students, develop individualized treatment plans, educate students and families, document care, and advocate for students’ needs. The position offers collaboration and mentorship, with opportunities for professional growth across school-based, outpatient, early intervention, and ABA pediatric services. Full-time employees receive year-round benefits; some benefits are also available to part-time employees.

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observation and standardized tools.
• Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance functional abilities.
• Educate clients and families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
