About The Position

American Senior Communities is hiring an Occupational Therapist for Spring Mill Meadows/The Commons on Meridian. This full-time role is 30 hours per week and offers a structured nine-month mentorship program with experienced therapy leaders. The Occupational Therapist uses clinical skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being and builds meaningful relationships by learning about residents’ and staff members’ life stories. The position is part of the ASC Therapies and Wellness team and provides opportunities to develop clinical and leadership skills. The role involves working with nursing and other facility teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive resident care. Requirements

Hold a current and valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Indiana.
Be able to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
Have a strong passion for geriatric nursing and a commitment to excellence in senior care.

Have supportive presence, leadership, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being using occupational therapy clinical skills.
Conduct thorough resident assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive resident care.
