About The Position

Powerback is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered care in an in-facility setting. The role assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers occupational therapy designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence. The therapist adapts care to each patient, collaborates with colleagues, makes referrals when appropriate, and teaches patients and caregivers skills that promote independence and productivity. The position reports to the Director of Rehab.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs.
Develop patient recovery plans.
Deliver occupational therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
Adapt care to patient needs and the variety of work settings.
Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive appropriate care.
Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
