About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist for an assisted living community in Yonkers, New York, and is also seeking PRN coverage. Therapy is provided Monday through Friday, with no evening or weekend work. The role involves evaluating clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities; developing individualized treatment plans; educating clients and families; maintaining documentation; and advocating for clients’ needs. The position offers an hourly rate of $50 or more and is part of a therapist-led organization that provides clinical services in a variety of settings.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observation and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and improve functional abilities.
Educate clients and families about improving daily activities, including adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
