The Occupational Health & Safety Summer Internship Program is part of Woodside’s USA Early Career Pathways initiative and sits within Woodside’s broader Health, Safety & Environment organization. The program is designed to build a sustainable pipeline of future health, safety, process safety, and risk management talent. The program provides undergraduate and graduate students with hands-on, real-world experience supporting Woodside’s U.S. business through project-based work aligned to workforce health, operational safety, process safety, and risk management priorities. Depending on business needs and academic background, interns may contribute to projects involving occupational health and safety programs, industrial hygiene, safety performance and analytics, risk assessments, incident prevention, process safety, safety systems, field and operational safety, regulatory compliance, training initiatives, human factors, and continuous improvement. Interns will work alongside experienced HSE, process safety, risk management, and operational professionals while gaining exposure to Woodside’s operating environment, safety culture, and values. The internship serves as a primary feeder into Woodside’s future graduate and early-career programs and supports Woodside’s broader workforce and capability planning strategy in the United States.
