About The Position

BJC Corporate Health Services provides occupational medicine services at Boeing’s metropolitan St. Louis facility. The Occupational Health RN supports employees with injuries, injections, and health assessments. The role is responsible for supervising the daily operations of Occupational Health, managing the Workers’ Compensation program, and coordinating delivery of the HSO’s Occupational Health Services. This is a PRN role on an as-needed basis, requiring at least two shifts per month. Typical business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The position is located on the Boeing campus at 8905 Airport Road. BJC identifies this as a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices. This PRN position is not eligible for benefits.

Requirements

Nursing diploma or associate’s degree in nursing.
2–5 years of experience.
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Ability to remain constantly alert and work safely in a safety-sensitive position.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
5–10 years of experience.
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification.

Responsibilities

Evaluate employee injuries and facilitate appropriate treatment and follow-up.
Coordinate and deliver occupational health services to employees.
Oversee and coordinate case management for Workers’ Compensation claims.
Perform pre-employment physicals to determine new hires’ eligibility and capacity for their positions.
Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver, following established guidelines and nursing standards.
Plan proactively and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
Supervise the daily operations of Occupational Health and manage the Workers’ Compensation program.
